Day-Off Adventures...

Today,  Edie, May, Matt, Kelly and I went to Carrier's Mainely Lobster, in Bucksport and had seafood! We had tenderloin clams and onion rings which were delicious! It was our (Kelly's and my ) first time and we found the food there to be very good. We had ice cream for dessert, and hung around for awhile talking and laughing about stuff going on at work with the usuals. Matt talked about ordering his new Subaru that he has to wait for a week to get his hands on. It's going to be a pumpkin color and he's thinking of a name for it.

After arriving back in Bangor, we went to Home Depot to get soil for the flower beds around the house. It started raining when we got home, but Kelly went out and took care of a few spots that needed a little filling in. Now, Kelly's gaming and I'm in my art room painting and filling in my scrapbook. Life is good.

I went to Brewer and took the Handgun 101 Class today. I've always wanted to know how to use a gun. So, I was in class with 13 other women (women's only class-duh).  A few of the women were in the class so they could get the certificate for their Concealed-Carry permit. A couple others were new like me. One turned out to be Lorna Greenlaw's baby sister. She said she has only fired her revolver before. She just doesn't know how to reload it. She did a good job firing the 9mm that Ryan (Stevens-teacher) let her use and I used it as well.

The first shot that I took was a bit... well, let's just say I had no idea what to expect. "A gun is a powerful thing." I practiced control and grip and didn't do too bad for the first time ever firing a weapon.
